For 184 uninterrupted days, approximately 28 million people will pass through the Expo entrance gates between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., to explore the culture, landscapes, people, gastronomy, and many other aspects of the 158 participating countries.
55 years ago, the first World Expo ever held in an Asian country - Expo 1970 - also took place in Osaka. Until then, World Expositions were hosted only in Europe or in the Americas.
At Expo 2025 in Osaka, the goal is to bring the international community together in an area where the latest technologies and innovations contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Aiming to encourage global society to reflect more deeply on how each one can contribute to better coexistence, the Expo will promote activities, projects, initiatives, and discussions under the theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives".
The mission of this Expo is to inspire the international community to actively contribute to building a sustainable society. will participates under the theme "Empowering Lives."
To encourage dialogue around these key topics, 158 countries, international organizations, and numerous major companies will be represented in pavilions ranging from 260 m² to 13,000 m². The Expo is expected to attract around 12,000 visitors each day.
